Minsk and Moscow have formed a list of critically important electronic component base. Belarusian companies have already begun to supply it to Russia. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about this at a meeting on the prospects for the development of microelectronics.

“Together with the Russian side, a list of critically important component base has been drawn up, which will be produced at Belarusian enterprises. A roadmap for its development has been developed,” the Belarusian leader said. His words on Friday, March 17, quotes BelTA agency.

The head of state also said that Minsk and Moscow signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint Belarusian-Russian center for the development and production of photomasks. It will carry out development work. The activities of the center will reduce the dependence of consumers of the two countries on imports. Earlier, the government of Belarus approved a program for the development of the country’s microelectronic industry until 2030.
