Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that assigns a gas service company to every home. The document was published on Saturday, March 18, on the official portal of legal information.
According to this law, contracts are provided for each house with one organization that maintains gas equipment. We are talking about a contract for the maintenance and repair of in-house equipment, as well as an agreement for the maintenance of in-house equipment separately for each apartment.
In addition, the document says that control by the state housing inspectorate over the work of “gas workers”, as well as the state of ventilation ducts, will be strengthened. The obligation of the owners of the premises to let specialists into the house to check the equipment and conclude contracts is also spelled out, reports RIA News.
The head of the Duma committee on construction and housing and communal services, Sergei Pakhomov, believes that the innovation will help to significantly reduce the number of accidents with domestic gas.
